Default Pompano advice

It's like this. I have a SW ticket I need to use before Labor Day. I'm
leaning toward flying to Ft.Liquordale on a Thursday night, diving all
day Friday and Saturday, flying back to Bawlmer Sunday evening.

More specifically, I'm leaning toward Pompano Beach, but I can be
persuaded otherwise. Ideally what I'd like is a dive operator whose
boat is right next to a reasonable hotel or motel so I can take a cab
from the airport and not have to rent a car. I want to dive eat sleep.
I also want a safe, knowledgeable, comfortable dive op.

So, any of you S. Fla. folks have any advice? Thanks!

There's no hotel that I know of next to the dock, but when I'm down
there I use Conrad Nix on Miss Conduct (6 pack boat)
http://missconduct.tripod.com/ If you need to contact him, call him -
he isn't an email junkie.

There are other boats down there, but some of them are ridiculous
cattle operations. There's a guy named Oliver who runs a 6 pack, but I
don't remember the name of his boat. He picks up in a different place
that may be closer to a hotel.

If you don't get any better answers, email me and I will make a few
calls.

We dove with Capt. Conrad on the "Miss COnduct":

I must say it was the finest Dive Charter we have ever used. We did
both morning and afternoon trips and hit 3 wrecks (I recommend the
Capt. Dan for sure) and a nice reef drift dive. This was awesome
diving and we truly were dropped PERFECTLY where we wanted each dive.
It was very stress free with a funny-easy going Captain who deserved
the big tip we gave him. We WILL always charter with him when we do
Pompano. Look no further!
