Default It truly is a small world!!!

I sent my boyfriend off to Perth for business for 2 weeks.
He ended up taking dive gear, so I put him in touch with DavidM for a river
dive one night last week.
He then went down to dive the Perth and the Swan in one weekend...
Mr Duck, you buddied with him on the Swan on Sunday!
He had the camera and the Halcyon gear, his name is Matt.
He took a pic of you in the RB, so as soon as he gets home and gets them
developed I'll scan it & mail it to you

Anyway, just thought you might smile at the co-incidence, it truly is a
small world!

haha...excellent. WA is indeed a very small place. Esp in diving terms. So
are you coming over next time? Go on...you know you want to <wg>

Oh yeah, Mark, I haven't forgot you, just we've gotten out office cleaned
out of computers twice in less than 2 weeks, so I've been somewhat
preoccupied *sigh*. If anyone is offered either one of two Samsung 171S 17",
or a 191N 19" or a 192N 19" LCD monitor, please let me know. I'm interested
in getting them back sometime...grrr...

Cheers
David M

I had no idea how small until Matty told me he'd dived with a guy on a
Dolphin called Mark who said he goes by the net persona of "Mr Duck"...

Oh babe, I *definately* want to!!! Would love to, but will have to wait
until SO's are included in Matt's business trips
I've finally put my foot down and decided that next year I will finally do
my Sth America trip I have been dreaming of since I was a little kid...
So there went all my planned dive trips for next year
I swear I will get over there at some stage though!!!
Hmmmm... tomorrow night is $30M Powerball, maybe I should buy a ticket?

OMG! That's horrible! Sorry to hear that, and hope you get some of the stuff
back... I hope if they took the PCs then you at least had full recent
backups, it can be *such* a bitch to reload it all but better than losing it
completely.

My favourite case of a client getting narky at me after stolen gear was the
CEO of a company, whose PA thought her work was -far- too confidential to
*ever* connect to the network and synch the contents of her hdd to a folder
on the network, so she secretly refused to do it... one Saturday morning as
she was having her nails done, she left the top down on her company
convertible with the laptop sitting on the front seat... And they expected
me to be able to get the data off a backup tape...

Hope the bastards don't come back, or if they do, that you're waiting for
them with a baseball bat!

All insured, and fileserver intact. A damaged motherboard also, but
that was easy fixed. What pisses me off is not that it cost us
directly as it didn't due to the insurance, but we *all* have to pay
for insurance claimes, and these jerks have my 2 x 19" LCDs and one
17" as well, and they didn't even have to make *any* sacrafice for
them. Not like I had to...

LOL...a PA with a convertible and a laptop!?! I wish I was a PA...

Sleeping bag in meeting room, and borrowed speargun was the plan. The
coppers that came around to do the finger prints said that apparently
that's illegal these days however, so we just went with security
bars...

Cheers
