I have taken it for a dip in a rather murky quarry. Do you have any specific questions? | thanks for your response Jason I am now more confused than ever . having spent the past few weeks checking reports and comparing between the 5050 and 5060 mostly at www.digitaldiver.net the general concensus of the posts I have seen is that the 5050 is a far superior unit although now out of production my experience is with a Nik V rather than digital so I guess you can say I am starting at square one and have only limited knowledge on digital camera's I am really interested to hear what you think of the 5060 and see the results from your dive. thanks again Mate Ter |

The only thing that I'm aware the 5050 has going for it is a brighter lens. With flash photography I'm not sure this is that relevant. The 5060 is faster and has a wider angle lens. I still find it a bit slow to auto focus, and the 5050 is supposedly quite a bit slower. I should get a chance to see what it can really do in 3 weeks time.
