Best scuba diving locations in Australia? For 7 days diving. I fly in to...

...Perth. Please suggest sites/plan? I have 7-9 days after a conference in Australia (Perth) in which I would like to do some Scuba diving in October 2007. I need to decide whether I fly out of Perth (perhaps try diving west coast, (?Ningaloo, ?Broome..) and fly out of Perth - or get an internal flight and fly out of another major airport (Quantas) and go for diving elsewhere (?Cairns, ?Queensland). Any advice would be brilliant. Thanks!
