Hi All,

I'm Mick, diving since '99 mostly in and around Port Phillip Bay, get to
Jervis Bay once a year or so, have dived the GBR and done a few in NZ. I am
only open water certified, but have been diving mostly from private boats
the last few years, so not in any hurry to pay for another course (although
a deep rating would be handy).

The missus is a dive-con and does a bit of part time work helping out on
courses things like that. We're also proud new owners of our first boat, a
little rubber-duck we bought just before xmas...

Cheers,
Mick G

Would of thought from Canberra that Jervis Bay would be your dive magnet.
Good/great diving but not as great as the hype IMHO. What type of diving are
you into?

I'm another Canberra based diver. Do a lot at Bawley point and Ulladulla
areas. Mainly shore based occasional boat trip. Been VERY busy with work
recently so have not got the fins wet in a couple of months. Suffering
major withdrawal.

Yes it is a magnet but being 3+hours away and having three small kids
makes it a little hard. I am not a technical diver I like shore dives
(Dont like spending too much money). Love to night dive but have not
done for years. Use to dive almost everynight in Tassy with a mate at
one stage finding new shore dives and just jumping in where there was water.

Love areas full of life not interested in catching just watching.

So I get wet via the web now days and the occasional dive. My oldest son
is 10 and really wants to get into it but I think he can wait.
