| I spent a few nights in Freeport, Paradise Island, Bahamas. Town itself wasn't real exciting; diving was reasonable, but not spectacular. (Where Nassau is the largest town.) At least that's were they were when I last dived them. -- But then again, what do I know? Lou Vallone LouVallone@aol.com http://members.aol.com/LouVallone |

Ummm., Paradise Island is on . . . well, it's on Paradise Island. It's over the bridge from New Providence. Yes, I know you knew that. Lee |

Yes, I know you knew that. > Lee I stand corrected - and from you could I stand it Actually, the story I have been told by the locals is that it was originally called Hogs' Island, since it was mostly used by swineherds. In the list of the named Bahamas Islands (again, according to the locals) it is assumed under NPI and is not counted as one of the 10,000 or whatever the number is of the Bahamas Islands. I guess I could have covered it by saying it is at, rather than on, NPI. I have also been assured by them that there are still quite a number of islands in the chain for sale. They may not have water or electricity on them, but can be purchased as a private domain. I always thought that when I got old and rich I might buy one. So far, I've only made half my goal. The wrong half. My best to Jayna. -- But then again, what do I know? Lou Vallone LouVallone@aol.com http://members.aol.com/LouVallone |

Hmmm, perhaps we could put our resources together and buy something suitable for sharing. Combined, we're still not rich, but we're really, really old. > My best to Jayna. Thanks. She says hi. Lee |

| There are alot of cheap affordable motels and hotels that tourists commonly stay at, close to downtown where all the action is and very reasonable in price, not sure about the quality of the rooms. If your talking bout lavish their is the Atlantis resort located over paradise island and the wyndym located out cable beach. |
