Default Belize Liveaboard - Sea Dancer II -11/05

Looking for a getaway? National Geographic Portal Trip or any number of
specialties offered by Rich (PADI M-10927) the instructor on the trip.
So why not travel to Belize, aboard the Peter Hughes, Sun Dancer II. A
138 feet long and 26 feet wide, it serves 20 guests with a crew of
seven. From BWI (Baltimore, MD) this trip comes in around $2595

A trip to Belize on a Peter Hughes boat in the middle of hurricane season.
Sounds like a deal to me.

You'd think they'd be offering a bigger discount.

Hurricane season from June until mid-November. However, historically,
most hurricanes occur between August and October in Belize. So actualy
its the tail end of hurricane season

Iris didn't......which should be enough to cause anyone a moment of serious
reflection when considering a Belize liveaboard trip during hurricane
season. There is a reason October and November are considered part of
hurricane season.

So why would anyone travel with a spammer during hurricane season when they
could, for $200 more, safely travel outside of hurricane season?

Plus you have to add in the expense of travel insurance which anyone taking
a Peter Hughes boat during hurricane season would be a fool not to have. I
didn't see any disclaimer and warning to purchase such insurance on your
spam. Does this mean that you're personally taking on the risk that Hughes
might cancel the charter and refuse refunds like he did the last time?

And where did you get the idea that it was OK to advertise your trip here,
where commercial advertising is forbidden? Not only is it a waste of time
since no one here is stupid enough to take the bait and we all boycott
spammers, but there's a good chance it will backfire as everyone who reads
this group will tell all their friends to boycott your hurricane trip as
well. Obviously you need to be in a different line of work if you can't
afford to advertise on your own.

Mid-November? Actually, it isn't officially over until the end of November.
Regardless, your spam trip is November 5 and so still in hurricane season.

Lessee, here's some November hurricanes, some of them later in November but
all of them too close to November 5 for comfort:

Storm 6
Storm 10
Storm 14 (1916)
Storm 2 (1925)
Kate
Michelle
Gordon
Greta
Lenny
Mitch

Yeah, right. That's one of the worst covers for spam I've heard to date.

Even more reason to boycott the trip.

It could be. It depends on how much they're paying.
