Whatever. Theyre (supposedly) outside the hurricane belt so
it shouldn't matter what time of the year it is.

No that's KLM via Amsterdam. If you want to go via Miami that's
an extra £100. If you go via Miami's 'International' airport, which
is no such thing; you are herded into a waiting lounge with
zilch facilities so you don't have to clear immigration. Then
as soon as your flight is due for boarding, someone escorts
you to the gate. Only you cannot join the people boarding, as
they are in the US and you're not - you're stuck behind a
glass screen until everyone else has boarded, then the screen
opens. Why they make you wait beats me, except to antagonise
non-US travellers of course.

I think in these times KLM might be better, and they are cheaper,
despite their absentmindedness with your luggage.
