Belize in April

Weird, I tried to find it on Google but I couldn't. You must have
somehow deleted the archived posts so I can't prove a thing. I hate
when that happens.

Anyway, I got part of it right. And that's what you get for
vacationing so often. If you would only stay around here and do your
Belize-advising job in the first person, I wouldn't have to put words
into your mouth. (You'll note I didn't mention the wind)

Hasn't this Belize place heard of internet access?

Maybe the dive op isn't supposed to be good, now that I've reviewed
your previous posts trying to find where you commented on the shady
pool area. Oh well, one out of three isn't horrible, considering I'm
not getting paid for this.

Weird, I tried to find it on Google but I couldn't. You must have

chilly: In truth, the pool is partially shaded and not anywhere near as
large as it looks in the brochures. Regardless, it is in a pretty setting
and has a cool layout. As far as not being that large, most of the pools in
San Pedro are not much in size.

Anyway, I got part of it right. And that's what you get for
vacationing so often. If you would only stay around here and do your
Belize-advising job in the first person, I wouldn't have to put words
into your mouth. (You'll note I didn't mention the wind)

stay around though it is rather curious to me that every time I go away,
there are posts asking questions about the very place(s) I'm visiting at
that point in time. Since you are in the mood to Google . . .I think you'll

chilly: Frankly my dear, had you stayed at Ramon's on your one and only
trip to San Pedro, you would have been much happier and had a much better
time overall. For one thing, you'd have been able to eat lobster every
night, drink up at at least one funky bar and have gone diving on a decent
boat with a DM that knew what he/she was looking for. Instead, you had PB&J
sandwiches and searched for Jesus in a dingy. No wonder you aren't all that
enamoured of the island. You haven't really experienced any of its charms,
windblown or not. But then, we've had this conversation many many times
over the years. :^)

If only everyone would just listen to me, then everyone would love San Pedro
the way I do. Wait!! Never mind, no one listen to me. It has already
become hard enough for me to get the room I want when I want it. And on top
of that, I wasn't able to dive with my favorite captain and DM every time
out because others had chartered them. Grrr . .

I swear I somehow made the connection of shade and Ramon's through
you, whether it was here, e-mail, or phone, I dunno. That part never
bothered me. I get enough sun back home.

Yeah, you'd think that if it's so easy for me to Google, that others
could do it too and stop bugging everyone with more of the same
questions about Belize. Of course now that r.s.l is down to about one
post a week, maybe that's not a good thing either.

Yeah, who would ever think of doing such a thing. I sure wish I could
have internet access on a liveaboard, though. It would be nice to see
what Reef Fish and/or Popeye are saying about me while I'm on
vacation.

I already made it. Don't expect perfection from those of us working
diligently to field all the Belize questions while you're out
carousing the nights away. If a whole new slew of divers ends up at
Ramon's expecting to find a shady pool area and instead get lots of
sun, it's you who's to blame. Maybe you can talk 'em into bananas
before they get too burnt.

You sometimes forget how flexible I can be when I feel like it. I
recall you losing a particular bet over BIBR. I might be happy there
just to spite you.

Lobster in May? I thought that stuff was illegal. And from what I
recall, the wind played at least a slight part in my misadventure.

I barely even started getting to like Bonaire and it's already getting
too crowded. I think that's a population issue, with PADI at least
partially to blame. There's only so much diveable accessible coral
reef, with global warming and other factors killing off more every
day, meanwhile more and more divers are getting certified. The longer
we fly to more exotic destinations, the more we're warming up the seas
and killing off the coral. It's not going to be getting any better in
our lifetime, that's for sure.

The Palms, just for starters and it's right next door. If you can do
without a pool, then look at Belizean Reef, which is right next door to the
Palms.

If you are happy with only a hotel room, rather than a kitchenette or suite,
look at the Sunbreeze.

If you don't mind being a bit further south of town, I love a little place
called Mata Rocks.

Xanadu is fabulous.

And the list goes on.
