I swear I somehow made the connection of shade and Ramon's through you, whether it was here, e-mail, or phone, I dunno. That part never bothered me. I get enough sun back home. chilly: Hmm. . you might be right. We have probably discussed the shade factor. > chilly: That's OK. I mentioned the wind. Yeah, you'd think that if it's so easy for me to Google, that others could do it too and stop bugging everyone with more of the same questions about Belize. Of course now that r.s.l is down to about one post a week, maybe that's not a good thing either. chilly: I don't mind that people ask. I'm sure they google too. I just find it curious that often enough, the questions come while I'm at the destination instead of at my computer. > chilly: Of course it has internet access but who do you think I am? > Reef-fish or Popeye? I don't post when I'm on vacation. Yeah, who would ever think of doing such a thing. I sure wish I could have internet access on a liveaboard, though. It would be nice to see what Reef Fish and/or Popeye are saying about me while I'm on vacation. chilly: They aren't saying anything about you. Popeye likely misses one of his sparring partners. > Maybe the dive op isn't supposed to be good, now that I've reviewed > your previous posts trying to find where you commented on the shady > pool area. Oh well, one out of three isn't horrible, considering I'm > not getting paid for this. > > chilly: Me either. What's your point? I already made it. Don't expect perfection from those of us working diligently to field all the Belize questions while you're out carousing the nights away. chilly: I don't expect perfection from most, but you are in a different category than most. If a whole new slew of divers ends up at Ramon's expecting to find a shady pool area and instead get lots of sun, it's you who's to blame. Maybe you can talk 'em into bananas before they get too burnt. chilly: They should google to find out whether or not they need bananas. > chilly: Yes, *you* would definitely be unhappy in the garden suites. You sometimes forget how flexible I can be when I feel like it. I recall you losing a particular bet over BIBR. I might be happy there just to spite you. chilly: True enough. However, I maintain that you would like the island better on the whole if you'd stayed at Luna Beach. > Yeah, stop bugging me. What do I know? But then, we've had this conversation many many times > over the years. :^) Lobster in May? I thought that stuff was illegal. chilly: Oops. Quite correct, no lobster in May. And from what I recall, the wind played at least a slight part in my misadventure. Doesn't it always? chilly: It is a windy area. But sometimes it is just a nice breeze. And frankly, it's not that enjoyable there without any breeze. > If only everyone would just listen to me, then everyone would love San Pedro > the way I do. Wait!! Never mind, no one listen to me. And on top > of that, I wasn't able to dive with my favorite captain and DM every time > out because others had chartered them. Grrr . . I barely even started getting to like Bonaire and it's already getting too crowded. I think that's a population issue, with PADI at least partially to blame. There's only so much diveable accessible coral reef, with global warming and other factors killing off more every day, meanwhile more and more divers are getting certified. The longer we fly to more exotic destinations, the more we're warming up the seas and killing off the coral. It's not going to be getting any better in our lifetime, that's for sure. chilly: I guess we should just stay home then. Say, aren't you leaving in the morning? |

| I stayed at the Mayan Princess a couple of years ago and was thinking about going back. No pool, but Amigos del Mar had their dive operation there. The distances weren't very great, although I never got north of the "ferry". chilly wrote: > "John Smith" <John.Smith@example.net> wrote in message > news:AAjyj.10986$f8.1524@newsfe23.lga... >> Chilly, >> What do you like better than Ramon's? > > The Palms, just for starters and it's right next door. However, I've decided to quit recommending it because it is getting hard for me to get a room there. I most often dive with Amigos. There is no ferry anymore. They put in a bridge. There's lots of development going on north of the "ferry" now. > > chilly wrote: > > "John Smith" <John.Smith@example.net> wrote in message > > news:AAjyj.10986$f8.1524@newsfe23.lga... > >> Chilly, > >> What do you like better than Ramon's? > > > > The Palms, just for starters and it's right next door.
