Brazil?

We're thinking of going to Brazil next Christmas, and would like to go
diving.

So far, we've got Fernando de Noronha and Angra dos Reis, both of which
have been discussed in this group before.

Any other suggestions?

do they have reefs there, so essential to the quality of good diving? I've
never heard of them.

Buzios diving is not bad (not in the same class with FDNoroha) and of course
it's close
to Rio.

Do you know if there is some good diving arround Salvadore de Bahia??

I was in Brazil in November 2000. My wife and I dived at Ilhabela and Parati.
We chose these sites because my wife was in Sao Paulo. Neither site was
pariculary good diving. I would not recommend these as a dive destination.

too rough,
it's not worth getting sea sick.
