| We're going on a cruise and are wondering if there's any where in Tortola where we can snorkel/scuba with dolphins in the wild? I dont want to do the Discovery Dolphin thing- we want to be free with them. Does anyone know of such a place? If not- maybe anywhere in Nassau or St Thomas? Thanks D |

Just because you want to be free with them doesn't mean they want to be free with you. Best bet, find a boat charter of any sort that routinely experiences dolphins riding the bow. Dolphins are much more interested in swimming with boats than swimming with people, so you'll have much better odds of spotting them from a boat. Then jump in and try to keep up. |

Can't say about the other months. Seen a few rays, sharks, baracuda and groouper though. Did sail thru a pod of about 1,000 porpoises between St Vincent and Martinique last June. |

| True true. Well, it was a thought. Anyone reccommend some awesome shark dives over there? We're also hitting Nassau (yup- Stuart's cove- already checked with them, our ship is coming in too late for us to catch the dive, plus- the have a contract with the cruise line to NOT take us on that dive... GRRR), Tortola, St Thomas. I'd be open to any GREAT dive- yes I'd love a shark dive- but- if someone could reccommend an awesome shop for wall/drift/wreck dive that'd be great too... Thanks D |
