They have things called "maps" that can help you. Hint: Phuket is at the
southwest corner of Thailand. Cambodia borders Thailand on the northeast.

You could drive from Bangkok to the Cambodian border in 3-4 hours.

Really? Do they have maps? Man, I'm impressed how these contries are
getting developed! Maps!

I know how far Phuket is that's why I ask if there it's is such a good
dive compared with Cambodia that it's worthy to go there instead of
staying in Cambodia ...

Anyway, thanks for your information - I can see you're well-informed -
about the coral, reef, animals, diving conditions, etc.

Sorry. I misunderstood your original question.

I didn't think the Andaman Sea diving was so hot, so I personally wouldn't
interrupt a three-week vacation somewhere else to make a 2+ hour flight to
Phuket to go diving. But then I wouldn't plan a dive trip to an area where
I knew nothing about the diving. That you haven't heard anything about the
diving speaks for itself.

Malaysia is just a bit further.

I do think Cambodia is better on land than under water. Trips to their mosques and other historic and scenic spots are really great. There are tons to do in cambodia and a lot of places to visit. But truly their diving is not that famous. Maybe you can check on the resorts there if they do offer diving.
