I didn't get a chance to dive there but there's a good dive shop right on the waterfront downtown. Lots to see, although there will be a current. Plenty of wildlife, quite scenic. Bring plenty of film and I do mean plenty. An old friend owns a lovely BB right on Chesterman's Beach: www.solwood.com tell her Skip says hi if you stay there. Port Alberni is far inland; I don't know how good the diving would be there. |

I have a lot of information, books and One of my best diving experiences was diving the west coast of Vancouver Island on a live-aboard: "Nautilus Explorer". Diving just about anywhere in the Pacific North West, including all of Georgia, Johnson and/or Juan-de-Fuca Straights, and you can't go wrong! <> Rick <> PS: http://www.nautilusexplorer.com and http://www.dive.bc.ca/ are two paces to visit!! |

| Hello, we plan our next dive trip to Canada, BC. We did some dives there in 2003, but we still want more. I have a lot of information, books and links about this area, but I did not find much about diving at Tofino, Port Alberni or Ucluelet. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot |
