Nice one Jason! A slightly bigger "hint", now that I've checked, is the
source page frameset...

<frameset rows="135,*" frameborder="NO" border="0" framespacing="0">
<frame src="shop-online-top.htm" name="topFrame" scrolling="auto"
noresize>
<frame
src="http://www.simplyscuba.com/whitelabels/2dive4/cgi-bin-ss/diveshop.cgi"
name="mainFrame" scrolling="auto" noresize>
</frameset>

Kind of gives the game away doesn't it

I know they've been operating their own school from home for a year or so
and have now decided to go for their own shop. When the guy said "we're
using somebody elses online shop" I didn't know it was that literally I
just don't know, maybe SS do a kind of reseller deal for the smaller
operators much like the ISP's do.

Still, the main point being there's now a shop near me without the minimum
40 mile round trip I've been doing for years. Pity they don't do Nitrox so
the haul down to Kent Divers is still on

Does anybody know what happened to the Braintree shop BTW?

They do - the 'whitelabels' bit in the link relates to the reseller bit -
its on the Simply Scuba website somewhere, you can have your own shop, but
run by them mostly but you can add some of your own stuff too.

The Braintree dive shop http://www.divecare.com/ moved from the industrial
estate into the town centre!!

So you have to park your car in a car park and lug cylinders across town.

Just not going to happen with a twinset, so I go to Chelmsford now.

They had to, the industrial unit they were in was a special discounted
unit for start up companies, they were already nearly a year over the
max stay period

Exactly the reason I stopped using them, although for me it always
seems to be two twin sets and at least a couple of singles, it's just
not physically possible. They must have lost a fortune because not
only have they lost the gas income but more importantly the "while I'm
here I just need...."

Keith we go all the way to Kent Diving when there are two Nitrox shops
in Chelmsford?

Or one in the one in Enfield would be quicker. I think there was one in
Hertford as well that doing Nitrox.

I believe it was a special dispensation for the UK. Independant
instructors are allowed to set up their own chapters.

Are the ones in Chelmsford while-you-wait? I stopped using the Enfield shop
for a few reasons, one of which was "leave you tanks, come back in x days
time...", which of course meant TWO journies! Same problem in Ipswich (where
I sometimes work). So that's why I've been running up and down the M25 to
Kent Divers, they will Nitrox fill your tanks on the spot.

Alternatives welcome, although with a shop in Stansted I feel a few J's and
a personal filter coming on if they aren't doing Nitrox soon
