spearfishing near perth or sydney

hi everyone,

i'm planning to visit Sydney and Perth, and would like to try snorkel
spearfishing in local waters. I've found very few information on the
net on australian spearfishing, and I'd be grateful for links to any
clubs, etc. or directions on renting the gear and locations.

All locations are in Sydney

Little Bay beach is nice for spear fishing.
Clovelly is nice for just snorkeling as there are too many people
around.
I'm told that Bare Island is nice, but haven't been there yet.

I was spearfishing last weekend with friends near Little Bay and saw a
little shark (slightly more than a meter long). Not sure if it's an
attraction or not, but might be nice to know. This was off the rocks,
not at the beach itself. Good fishing though.
