Default Exposure Suit recommendation for Cayman Islands

What exposure suit is recommended for diving Cayman this time of year?
3Mil? Full? Shortie? Skin?

Thanks

Jerry

Different people have different requirements. If I was in your
situation, I would see what the water temps usually are this time of
year and, using the know thyself philosophy, determine how much suit
you need for that termperature.

But if you honestly don't know your own requirements, go with a full
3mm. No such thing as being too warm.

I will be diving there in late April, as I did last year. Water temp is
about 78 F at the moment, may make 80 by April.

Ocean Frontiers has on their website a climate summary, you may want to
check that. Personally, I layer a Polartec hooded vest with a Polartec
jumpsuit and it suffices for me.

3mm is lots. I've seen divers in bathing suits in January.

Water in the Cayman Islands at this time of year should be about 81F.
Take what keeps YOU warm in that temperature water.

I was just in touch with Lesley at Ocean Frontiers. Right now the temp is
still 78. That 3 degrees makes a huge difference for me. YMMV

Roatan is moving up to 80, so it shouldn't be long now. I'd definitely wear
a 3 mm, but everyone is different.

Throw a hood (or a banana(sic)) in your bag, just in case.

A shorty wet suit is good for diving in the Cayman Islands at this time.
The water temp is in the low 80s
