| It is discouraged, but not illegal. You can find all of the particulars at: http://www.kencaldwell.com/cayman/laws.html George "Jeff & Kathy Brown" <jjeffbrown1@comcast.net> wrote in message news:iaycnfSkdsQ-9sOiXTWJjg@comcast.com... > We're leaving Thursday for the east end.....I can't remember if the Cayman's > allow dive gloves. Anyone know for sure? Thanks. Some of the dive operators do, others don't. I don't recommend them, although I always carry them with me. |

All right then, let's outlaw fins as well. |

I wore my gloves when diving with Dive N' Stuff and the corals remained safe and sound around me. However, when we dove with Ocean Frontiers for one day, I was told "it's against the law". When I loudly called bullshit, the DM offered to show me a copy of "the law". Not wanting to draw further attention to myself, I gave in and kept the gloves off. Of course that's that only time I noticed any damage to corals as a couple divers with poor buoyancy control and even one of the OF DMs kicked the coral at one site. That's why I'll never dive with Ocean Frontiers again. |

Do you have support for, details of, this? And any idea as to why it should be so? |
