Diving on mainland China

I'm going on a trip to China in August. It's not a diving trip, but I would
like to see if I can do a dive or two while I'm there.

So far, the only places in China I can find any dive centers at all are
Shanghai, Hong Kong and the island Hainan. Which are all places I won't be
going (apart from one day in Hong Kong, on which I doubt I'll have enough
time to find a dive shop and book a dive for the same day).

Places I will be visiting are Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Kunming, Lijang, and
Yangshuo (yes, I will still enjoy this trip without doing any diving :).

Anybody know if there's any diving in any of these places?

I think China would be best visited through land. They have tons of things to offer, try taking a hike at the great wall, im sure you're feet would curse you but it is very amazing walking that road! ecstatic to think it can be seen from the moon. And lots of temples too which are very historic and the designs much more intricate.
