Actually, we have pretty good evidence that he couldn't.

Indeed, a possible explanation. An experienced S. Florida beach diver would
have known that the view from below the surface is much better and much less
likily to get you slapped for staring.

is doing it because he can. He wasn't successful. It's humorous that

Yes, that is my point. He wasn't an experienced S Florida diver.

There are not Dixies, but Dixie is a term used for the south. As the song
says, Away, Away, Away down south in Dixie.
