Default Diving in Croatia

This is a follow up to my Diving in Italy thread, but the title has
now become misleading, as we'd like to dive in Croatia for. Apologies
if I'm not following correct board etiquette.

So the question is simple really. Has anyone dived in Croatia and can
they recommend any good dive centres? We're looking near Split and
Zadar areas.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Sarah

If you get any replies, I'd like to know too!

Haven't decided on an area yet, but my girlfriend isn't a diver so there'd
have to be other stuff there too, and I'd only be doing a day or two's
diving.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff.

The best places are Kornati Islands (there's a diving center in Murter)
and Vis (there are diving centers in this island).

Last I heared, it was very expensive to do (and hard to find dive centres
who'd loan out kit for) un-accompanied dives there. However, any info you
find, please post back here as we are sailing in croatia (split/central
dalmations) end of august and had wanted to do a spot of diving out there.
Wife and I are fairly recently qualified PADI, other two crew are long term
BSAC, so good multi-skill-level info would be greatly appreciated.

ALTERNATIVE SAILING TERMS - Fix:
1. The estimated position of a boat.
2. The true position a boat and its crew in are in most of the time.

320 Euros is the annual fee and still you cannot dive everywhere.
I will go there in August (6-20) sailing from Italy and I have my own
croatian authorized guide on board (just for writing documents for the
police, usually he does not dive with us).
By the way if anyone is interested I have still 4 free places.
