| I was in Dubrovnik end Sept 2003. If you're looking for wildlife you'll be disappointed but as far as wrecks are concerned it'll be more your style. There's an interesting wreck that starts at 25m and goes to 50m (cargo ship torpedoed with a cargo of tractors on the sea bed), if you're qualified enough (obviously you'll have very little time on it) but if you have an underwater camera it'll make for some interesting pics. The underwater scenery is nice. The guys at the dive club all have decent English also. Try http://www.dubrovnik-online.com/english/activities.php http://www.i-reception.net/irec/version_en.html Best of luck "Rudolf Bargholz" <bargholz@spamcop.remove.net> wrote in message news:ctff71$b4o$1@news.hispeed.ch... > Hi Gerry, > > > Has anyone got any Recomendations for diving in Cavtat (Near > > Dubrovnik). Right in front of Cavtat (Ragusavecchia, if you like history) there are two interesting roman wrecks, more or less 27 m. deep. Near Dubrovnik (Ragusa) you can find the wreck of the ship Taranto. I don't know the sea temperature, but I guess you can find more or less 14° C in may. Visibility is always very good. Ciao Ghigo |
