I went with Octopus a few weeks ago.. and we ended up using the guys at
Dive In for a couple of days diving.. the difference in the
professionalism and smoothness of operation has quite marked in favour
of Dive In.

however, I have to add in the sense of fairness that the guy who runs
Octopus was not around and he had left someone in charge who had only
been in Cyprus for two days before we got there.. unfortunately, this
did affect the quality of service somewhat..

Agreed, have done one trip with them, superb, even if the dive shop
owner was overseas and had to leave it to the other staff. They still
managed fantastically.

Am going back (hopefully this year!)

Thirded, the phoning the cafe to order your breakfast on surfacing
from dive#1 is a nice touch. I'll be back in July for another series
of dives on The Zen.

Michaels "full monte" breakfasts next door. Very civilized diving.

response " we have some very nice pork chops"
An answer of no Michael I just want a bacon butty was met with " wassa
matter witha my pork chops- why you no have a pork chop then?" Creased
up laughing every day.:D

I think Cydive would be best for you, lots of good feedbacks from them ever since. They can surely accompany you well on your dives. I think it is best to be on major dive centers when your a beginner because they do offer hands-on training and accompanies them. Good luck on your trip.
