I first went to Coral bay 20 years ago .. it had just a beach side taverna
..... went back a couple of years ago and it had street after street of
development, the Greek Cypriots really go for over development in a big way
.... Fig Tree Bay near Protarus was the same.

Default Cyprus - Paphos Diving

Any recommendations for this area.

I got Padi OW late in Sept last year, and havent been nr the water since.

I would like to do AOW, but there seems to be a few schools to choose from.

I dived with Cydive in Phaphos last year and can recomend them.
Well organised and good kit plus the prices were reasonable.
Check them out at http://www.cydive.com/
Only complaint was the lack of fish life in the Phaphos area.
The day trip to Larnaca to dive the Zenobia I still class as one of my best
dives in 25 years but it may be a bit out of your league unless you build up
to it over your holiday.

I dived with CyDive a few times over a 20 yr period ... they are the
best in that part of Cyprus.
Just don't go expecting much in way of sea-life the greedy greek
cypriots fishermen have fished out.

If you want a really good dive why not take a day trip and do the
Zenobia ? the best dive on Cyprus.
take a look:

Thanks to all who replied.
Went with abyss-diving out near coral bay.
No problems with them or their gear. I would agree about the lack of
sealife though.

thanks again

Lack of marine life? Whoa! I think it would be better next tim ejust to go to a dive spot in Australia or in the Philippines. Parts of the word with vast marine life, because it would really make the trip worth it.
