Default Lee Bell on RESPECT (by fellow scuba posters)

Lee couldn't resist his follow-up on Ron Lee in a derogatory
"subject" created by Ron (anal-retentative) Lee, about me:

LB> He's the only person in my blocked sender's list.

Lee posts that EVERY time he picks up an idiotic line posted by another
idiot, Ron Lee in this case, and adds his own idiotic remarks WITHOUT
knowing ANYTHING about the substance of the thread or discussion.

Lee thinks it's his Badget of Honor to be a Blissful Ostrich. )

LB> He's a small man with a big ego and, now that he's no longer king
LB> of the classroom, one who's having a bit of trouble understanding
LB> why he does not get the respect he thinks is his right.

On the subject of "respect" and "friends", Clueless Newbie Forest Aten
thought he had found a savior and protector in putting in his dig
behind (Lee Bell). I hope Forest will appreciate my FLATTERY of him:

hahahahaha!!

As evidence of Lee's RESPECT and my LACK of friends in a SCUBA
discussion forum, the REAL Scuba-L (Scuba-SE, whose knowledgeable and
respected members came from the DEAD Scuba-L, killed by Nick Simicich,
on censorship, advocated by his pal Hugh Huntzinger) couldn't be a
more TIMELY STAGE to observe (as I did the last couple of days):

************************************************** *******************
o There are 76 posts (at this moment, in Scuba-SE) since January 7,
two days ago! To the best of my knowledge, ALL scuba related
-- trip reports, locations, equipment, and travel. Not a SINGLE
post of the idiotic type as those posted in rec.scuba.locations
by Ron Lee, Lee Bell, Forest Aten, and the others.
************************************************** *******************

o There was a grand TOTAL of 0 (ZERO) article in Scuba-L in 2004,
except Nick's periodic censorshp Guidelines. )))))))))))))
In fact, ZERO since Christmas 2003, hosted by Hugh's pal Nick.

o I am having a GOOD TIME discussing SCUBA, travel, and get-together
with scuba FRIENDS (including one who will be MC'ing the ADEX
in Singapore) about having a friendly get-together with them in
Singapore and possibly diving Layang-Layang.

o Lee Bell IS in the midst of a 4-ring or 5-ring circus, mouth
dancing AND playing his Mr. Hyde arguing game on a topic he knows
very little, and is getting SIMULTANEOUSLY BASHED (politely, of
course) by AT LEAST as many posters as rings in that single thread.

Here's an example:

EP> On Friday, January 09, 2004 4:41 PM, Lee Bell wrote:

Lee >Nope. I'm talking about tests done by
Lee > independent testing agencies

EP> And which 'testing agencies' would these be?

Lee> I don't know.

EP> I'll accept that last comment of yours as sufficient proof that
EP> I was foolish to rise to your bait in the first place!

"EP" stands for "Emminent Professional" in scuba. World renowned.
mag editor with well over 5000 dives. MC of ADEX.

Here's ANOTHER scuba Professional, Master Scuba Instructor Trainer,
who took Lee to task and FACTUALLY dismantled the basis of Lee's
Mouth Dancing act:

Date: Fri, 9 Jan 2004 22:20:22 +0800

Lee> Here's the data everybody asked for.

EP2> normal diving.

and went on to give a LENGTHY (read "substantive") <even by my
standards )>, informative, and REASONED rebuttal that completely
demolished Lee's ofbuscation.

It's deja vu, and ever more often seen, in Scuba-SE, on Lee Bell.

LB> one who's having a bit of trouble understanding
LB> why he does not get the respect he thinks is his right.

I would say Lee was right if that was meant to be his self-assessment. ::)))
Unfortunately, that was his unsubstantiated cheap shot against me!

If that's what Lee considered "respect" from those "in the know", as
evidenced by the exerpts above, I don't think ANYONE (except Lee
himself perhaps) would envy that kind of "respect".

Not me. No Sireee.

EP2 and I are the BEST of friends now. He went through early phases
of a newbie waging battles against me, on matters I knew much than he
did then (that was in the mid-90s, when he was newly certified.).

But once we got to know each, settled on our mutual understanding
that we do STRONGLY DISAGREE on many issues, we each RESPECT each
other's REASONS given for our opinion, there had not been a single
"flame war" between us since the late 90's.

Good friend. Good discussion. Good diving pal.

NO GRUDGE whatsoever over brutal flamewars in the past. For the
curious, you can easily find them in the archives too.

THAT's the way SCUBA discussion SHOULD be.

THAT's the way SCUBA discussants should behave.

THAT's the way to try to get respect from those whose respects are valued.

Being a mouth dancing idiot taking cheap shots at me and my posts of
SCUBA SUBSTANCE is no way to earn the respect of anyone, save your own
kind -- the flock of birds of the same feather.

Bob,

I wouldn't say that I was hiding behind Lee Bell's post??? Would you?
You must have missed the 3 or 4 dozen other "digs" I've posted to you since
the fall Tobago trip. I just knew you hadn't been paying attention. I like
what Lee has to contribute to the group. He almost always goes out of his
way to be helpful to people requesting information. Plus he has you pegged
right on.
As far as this latest post of yours.....I suspect you might have a little
CRS issue to deal with....and that is why you have to keep referring back to
the archive. The only problem I see with that, is that you seem to be
selectively excluding the 1000's and 1000's of posts that have identified
you as belligerent.

As far as me being a "newbie"....
Bob......come to Dallas for an interview. You can have access to anyone on
my client list with their permission. You can call my vendor list. Check out
my dive log and join us on a trip. Stop blowing smoke. You are a statistics
guy. Come gather valid data. Or....hahahaha....continue on with your
contemporary portrayal of Napolean. The truth or "your truth".....hahahaha.
I'll be here for a few more weeks....opera season is about to finish.
Hey...you can come see the opera! hahahaha www.dallasopera.org You pick the
weekend. Plenty of hotels nearby. Give me a call and I'll pick you up at the
airport. You should be able to get a plenty cheap flight between ATL and
DFW. Wow...Bob you could make the opera and then head out with my group to
Cozumel. I have a group going out right after the season ends. We could
explore the Las Palmas wall issue on site. Think about it....La Traviata
Bob...and a great cast, followed by Cozumel. We could take a day off and go
to the mainland Yucatan and visit your buddy Paul. (since his presence on
the island in the most recent 8 years has been very off and on)

Forest Aten

oh Bob....my group that just returned from Cozumel had over a dozen eagle
rays, in a school, on San Juan one day. Looks like you just missed a good
week....once again. Jeezzzzz.....what bad luck you had in Cozumel with both
weather and marine sightings. You may want to put Cozumel on your list with
Tobago.....for a place with bad diving???? My group had a perfect weather
window Bob. Do ya get it yet?

So, DO something about your sensitive anal-retentivity. Blabbering
here won't sure it -- that's for sure.

You missed PLENTY.

Mental Midget, jihad, moron, imbecil, ...

Ron, you had them all, and all WELL DESERVED too!

You want to be named "Anal-retentive Orifice of the Year"?
You've won that several years in a row already. Now you have several
deserving candidates competing for that coveted title -- your
like-feather pals, Lee, Forest Aten, ...

Even Jammer Six threw his hat (and his ostrich feathers) into the
ring! :0)))))))

Well done Forest, though may I add my own interpretation predicated upon

Ian,

That's almost verbatim of what posted

2003-02-21 14:34:03 PST

"indigo" Ian> Could y'all please take this crap back to rec.scuba?

Why should we? You get the same set of posters in both groups.
If that crap started in rec.scuba, it would be there.

This time, it started here, so it's in rec.scuba.locations.

If you're not interested in who's who in credibility, then all you
have to do is NOT to read any of the posts you can easily identify
by "subject" or "author" or both.

That's the way a mature, intelligent reader of newsgroup does
(of which there are many in this group AND in rec.scuba).

Your post is as much NOISE as those who maliciously pick on and
attack me. They'll soon recognize their weaknesses and futile
efforts and stop. The smarter ones won't come back for encore.

The REALLY DUMB ones, which you can easily identify, will come
back for more of the same.

And I will be able to point to the archives to show everyone
that their idiocy is deja vu.
