Default Good 1st place to scuba dive

I was wondering if any of you have any advice about where to go for a
first scuba diving trip. I am almost done with my certification and I
would like to plan a trip over the summer to go diving. Any feedback
on fun places to dive will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Table Rock is decent for freshwater - but it will be cold for the next
several weeks

Not really.

It always helps to know something about a poster to avoid, or
minimize, the urge of inserting foot-in-mouth as many posters do
when they freely dispense advice in ngs. :)

Actually, Patrick had a life-time posting history of only 4 posts
in ngs, so there isn't much "detective work" involved. )

Partick was a lifeguard/swim instructor at 16, and now a
headguard/manager, lessons coordinator, and swim coach.

So, the "detective" inference would be that he was a bright lad
and is probably now a swimming coach at Southwest Missouri State
University. But insofar as my comment to his question goes,
smsu.edu was the key element.

Okay, I went to GOOGLE, clicked on "Groups" and searched by using 'pmb434s'
and I got the posts.

Problem is, I have a hand crank Pentium 3/4 Toaster.

4 threads, actually.

That's actually the easier way I almost never use because it doesn't
allow the search options in "advanced groups search".

> Problem is, I have a hand crank Pentium 3/4 Toaster.

The speed depends on the Mhz of the PC and the internet connection.
When I did your GOOGLE, it took 0.13 sec. Went to "advanced groups
search" using the same keyword, it took 0.12 sec. But the difference
is random noise.

Just curious. How long did your hand crank Toaster take?

Depending on where you are Cozumel is good, but you can drive to the
Florida Keys for some good diving.

Did you want that in metric hours or light years?

I now have a Pentium 2 (4000cds Toshiba Satellite) which replaced my dead
generic box. It's a laptop and "herself" gave it to me as she was using it
to hold up a broken couch leg. She laughed at me but I was thrilled.

It loads e-mail and non graphics fast enough for me. Her Sony Vaio is quite
impressive with her t1 line and high speed color printer... when the screen
isn't crapped out.

Traveling in the Mar Caribe as I do, I prefer the disposability of the $230
(used retail) laptop box.
