Default Sinus/lympth node pain

Hello all! I am writing for some advice, one again. On sunday the 28th i dove a rep dive with two hour interval. On the first dive i wore a hood, and seemed to have some issues equalizing (something about the water being held near my ear by the hood-i did not enjoy it. Ears seemed fine on the surface interval, just felt like i had a bit of water in them. went on the second dive, got down to 30 feet, and then it got painful.Quickly. I had cleared my mask, then discovered i could no longer equalize properly. I surfaced, and it was like i had developed a cold under water. (coughing, phlem, ear congestion, etc). The ears hurt even after i had surfaced, and continued to hurt until i was almost home (three hours later). I tired the hydrogen peroxide in the ears, that made them hurt worse, then yesterday woke up with swollen lympth nodes (very tight, uncomfortable, espcially when smiling). Today, sore throat.
Is it possible the ear pain caused these symptoms, or is it just a freak occurance?
Thanks!
