Doesn't matter, was probably just a dull parting tool.

Lube the o-rings, put it together and check for leaks.

Default OMS Pressure Gauge

I'm replacing the spools in a couple of brass/glass OMS SPGs. Didn't notice
until I had the spools out of the gauges and hoses that the orifices are
different sizes at each end of the spool or at least they look that way.

One end is recessed/concave around the hole and one end is flat around the
hole. It isn't obvious to these 43 year old eyes which end should be
oriented towards the gauge and which end should plug into the hose.

Called 2 OMS dealers locally and they didn't know.

Anyone?

Eric

Got 4 of 'em in front of me and I swear the ends are different . I even
took my old Scubapro gauge off the hose and checked it....the spool ends are
uniform.

Anyway...jizzed 'em up put 'em in and pressured up the gauges. No leaks, so
I guess I'm good to go.

Thanks Scott and Capt DB
