| Hello Popeye, Regrettably, this price does not include a SCUBA certification program. | Hello again, We at the Deep End believe this is a fantastic special, and is over $300.00 US cheaper than any of our competitors, including Leisurepro. To be honest, any cheaper and we would be selling for below our cost. However in all fairness, please show us the online store that offers it for a lower price! Don't forget, we include shipping at no additional charge to anywhere in the continental United States! Not that you were overcharging for it. |

| Thanks for the clarification Chris, From my review of our own internal stock, and our various competitors, Sherwood appears to be the commonly the "best bang for the buck". While certainly other lines may offer a cheaper price-point, we have found that warranty issues can become difficult when they arise. This is one of the reasons why we carry the lines that we do. This is one of the > reasons why we carry the lines that we do. I use Oceanic regs. My LDS services them and gave me a heck of a deal (10% markup). I've never had a problem with them. I've heard Sherwood are good regs too but they generally run close to double what I paid for my Oceanics. For the type of diving I do (generally not enough), they've been great. I can't imagine wanting anything else, although, it might be nice to have a side exhaust octo. |

| Hi Chris, Oceanic makes a side exhaust Octo now. Its called the swivel 180. Doesn't look like one right off the top, but it is. http://www.oceanicworldwide.com/p_re...swivel180.html You were very very lucky to have a shop sell you any equipment with only 10% markup. If a dive shop continues to do that over a period of time, they don't stay in business very long at all. Even at sale prices, Oceanic equipment is typically at least a $100.00 greater investment than any Genesis or Sherwood regulator we sell (short of the OZ titanium). Biggest benefit with Oceanic is the lifetime warranty they offer. Years of warranty service pays for the regulator as parts are free. He runs the dive shop for a few reasons. 1.) He gets all of his gear at cost. 2.) He can offer tremendous deals to his patrons (and help get more people interested/outfitted) 3.) It helps to pay for his scuba trips. > > Even at sale prices, Oceanic equipment is typically at least a $100.00 > greater investment than any Genesis or Sherwood regulator we sell (short of > the OZ titanium). (2 first stages and 4 seconds). |
