Well at least after surgery - I have the hope of getting better. And they
also give me meds and take my pain seriously.

The pain after surgery is different that the pain prior to surgery and with
the medicine is more tolerable.

I am seeing changes - so it is a good thing.

And long time no see -- how the heck have you been?

knowing where we're rowing or which way the river's flowing. Is it raining?
Is it snowing? Is a hur-ra-cane-a blowing? Not a speck of light is showing.
So the danger must be growing. Are the fires of hell a-glowing? Is the
grisly reaper mowing?! YES! THE DANGER MUST BE GROWING! FOR THE ROWERS KEEP
ON ROWING! AND THEY'RE CERTAINLY NOT SHOWING! ANY SIGNS THAT THEY ARE
SLOWING!!!"

Glad to hear things are getting better! If you don't mind me asking, (I haven't
been around here for a while), what were your original symptoms? It's funny, I
can walk around on my own broken leg with no problem, but you try to start an
IV on me and you're in for one hell of a fight. Just ask the ER staff at
Christiana Hospital (I'm surprised they didn't bill me for the chairs, no
further comment).

As far as how I've been doing... what a long, strange trip it's been. Things
were a bit turbulant for a while there, but doing much better now. I've gotten
tired of carrying a gun for a living, so next week I'm starting a new job (or
should I say returning) in the EMS field. I figure it's more in line with my
current college major (Nuclear Medicine). It's an added treat being the oldest
person in class too. Just when the hell did these college kids get so young
anyway?
