Default Apollo Dive Scooters? Who else should I look at?

I'm looking for a scooter to pull me a mile or two down the Pacific coast and back
again to various dive sites. Then my buddy and I will tie off our two
scooters to kelp, dive a bit at a site, then scooter some more (snorkeling
depth) until we reach the next site, dive some more, etc. Depth will be 25
feet or less, and I would only be interested in scooters I could "clip on"
rather than "hang on" too. I'm more interested in range (two or three
miles round trip) and/or predictable running time (at least 60 minutes) than
speed. After all, I wouldn't want to run out of battery time 1/4 mile from
shore!

We are looking into using a pair of these 40lbs scooters rather than a pair of 75lbs 10 foot look Ocean dive kayaks. We would like to clip on at snorkel depth, and let the scooters drag us over possible dive sites at my friend's private Mexican beach while we look down. So far the water is 15-20 feet deep even at 400 yards from the beach. We would like to explore a mile north and south of the beach entry point. What scooters, besides Apollo should we be looking at?
