An invalid web page. A right-wing slander piece. Another right-wing blog.
Yawn.

"That is exactly what the international inspectors found when they returned
to Iraq before a war-hungry Bush pulled the plug on their nearly completed
mission. 'After three months of intrusive inspections, we have, to date,
found no evidence or plausible indication of the revival of a nuclear
weapons program in Iraq,' stated the International Atomic Energy Agency on
March 7, 2003, just weeks before the U.S. and Britain bypassed the U.N. and
invaded Iraq. Yet, rather than admit that he bent the facts to fit the
narrative of fear he was pressing on the American people, the president now
blames the CIA, his predecessor, his opponents - anybody but himself and his
national security team. He carps constantly that, because others were duped,
he shouldn't be blamed.

"If the buck does not stop with the commander in chief, where does it stop?
With the American voters on Nov. 2."

Tell you what. I've got a 10 hour stopover in Frankfurt Main tomorrow,
followed by a 12 hour flight to Singapore. I've saved the entire page
and promise to read it either in the airport or on the flight. I'll let
you know my thoughts in a couple of days.

I skimmed it. More right-wing whining about how we really, really did need
to invade Iraq no matter what the evidence showed. You're much better off
clearing customs and slipping your Frankfurter to a drunk fraulein in a
Biergarten, then sleeping it off on the flight. That's what Clinton would
do.

Somehow, I think Alan has a little more class.

Quoting LA Times? That's almost as credible as quoting CBS.

Thank you.

Actually, Greg wasn't too far off except for:

A - She's Dutch, not German
B - She wasn't drunk
C - I didn't have to clear customs
D - It was more of a long goodby than anything quite so carnal
E - It feels really empty watching your wife get on a plane back to Los
Angeles while you continue on the other way around the world

But I suspect I'll agree with Greg's synopsis of the article

Alan

[ignore even more cites to right-wing flack op-eds and articles printed in
papers owned by the Reverend Moon]

Here's a new job for Bush after he gets booted, assuming he doesn't choke:

Amazing. He didn't even read any of it, but you are ready to agree with his
hatchet job.

I always thought you to have a more open mind than that, to be a little more
central, not so far gone to the left, like Greg, that you cant even see the
middle.
