not so feeble when you'd look up the related thread in this NG
Hint: The U.S. flight safety supervisors are not that dumb like you'd
want to believe.

A lot of this stuff on him is disputed. I don't know what the truth
is.

If he aided terrorists and/or really did agree that Rushdie should die
for his book, then we should all lock him out. I don't care for
foaming-mouthed radicals of any ilk.

The point is that Joe said the world would shit on the US if you guys
had screwed up with the explosives. My point is that screw-ups happen
to the security forces of all countries. I know you love jumping on
the French all the time, but I wish you'd just give it a rest and stop
assuming the rest of the world is out to get you.

You misspelled "disposed of".

be insulted

We've had soldiers go bananas, and so have you. Screw-ups happen
everywhere. You just have to hope that nobody gets hurt.

It's no danger, they claim. It won't go off, they claim.

Of course, now that I have a couple of kilos of Semtex, the cap is the
easy part.

Thank you, France. What's your next move?

Do you have an cite of this or just more stupid American bashing as we

Not really scared, but it raised some concerns, and a letter to Lamezia
airport in Italy...
The let me pass with my diving torch as checked luggage, becuase I was
able to separate the battery from the housing ( screw off, click in/out)
and I could give proof of the validity of the security code sequence
needed to start operation.
My dive buddy had a big light with solderered and shrinked parts,
undetachable at the checkin point, and was forced to transfer it to the
normal luggage-checkin.
We tried in vain to tell the airport police ( even their chief) that
their way of handling was against all safety precautions.

When in Germany, we informed the rest of our group, still in Italy,
about the upcoming difficulties ( all had big torches..)

I was told that at the end of the day, this italian security staff would
readily call it a bad day...
