| We will be camping at the Florida Caverns SP over Easter weekend. We have room for 4 more campers on our site and I will be bringing my extra canoe for our guests. Dive plans include some on the Chipola river and some on Merrit's Mill pond. |

| I'm curious. What are the interesting points on the Chipola? Are there more on Holmes Creek? I don't' know too much about the Chipola, except that it's next to the Caverns, and that it goes to Holmes Creek. Send me information. I might drive down versus camping. |

Holmes Creek is a different system than the Chipola. Holmes is about 50 miles west of Chipola and flows into the Choctawhatchee river, the main town it flows through is Vernon. The Chipola runs into the Apalachicola river and the main town it runs through is Marianna. |

| Right. I was mistaken on the west/south end of the Chipola, because it thought it went to Holmes, versus the Appalachicola. I haven't been on the river, although I've crossed Chipola and Holmes many times in my travels. What's the rules for artifacts in Fla? Can you pull them legally? Georgia's rules say that you can photograph, but not disturb if on public waterways or public lands. I don't want to bother anything like artifacts and get into trouble. I've seen lots of pottery shards and remnants on the Chattahoochie and on Spring Creek, which dumps into Seminole, but nothing on the lower Appalachicola. Send email to flingylingy @ yahoo.com and we'll continue this discussion. I *am* interested in the Easter weekend, because I may be in Donalsonville for the weekend.
