| Ron, I have some news for you. We have a new Pope. He is a 78-year-old German man named Joseph Ratzinger. He has taken the name of Pope Benedict XVI. HABEMUS PAPAM! We have a Pope! Now that I've told you the news, please leave us alone. |

My idea of "soon" is based on the average lifespan of a male on our planet. -- Joe in Northern, NJ V#8013 '86 VN750 Ride a motorcycle in or near NJ? http://tinyurl.com/4zkw8 http://www.youthelate.com Young Life? eMail me! That's actually by design. They are predisposed against electing younger men because they don't want long reigns these days. J2P2 was a bit of an abberation in that an older man lived quite long. |

He's qzuite obvisouly intended to be the continuation of JP2's reign. > I seem to recall that John Paul II's immediate predecessor lasted a > very short time (less than a year?) An understatement. 33 days. There was much speculation that he'd been offed by conspirators. |
