I found this amusing:

U.S. President George W. Bush may not have led the dumbest government,
but he was honoured with the award for the Stupidest Statement of the
Year after telling a news conference: "They never stop thinking of ways
of harming America, and neither do we."

not sure if it was a stupid statement or shrub letting the truth slip
out out of stupidity.

Nah. We already have Quebec and they keep doing their best to spoil
our fun.

Or do you mean the skinny rich kid? What else are you offering? We'd
probably trade some high echelon politicians for a few valley girls.
It may not up the collective IQ but the honesty factor would improve,
not to mention the eye appeal.

Or stating a well-known maxim that, to defeat an anemy you have to
understand your enemy - know how they think"
This way, you can spot vulerabilities, potential problems, and fix 'em.

Surely this isn't new to you?

We've got enough politicians, thank you.

If you think Paris is eye candy, take her. Of course, I haven't seen
her oral tests, so there may be some virtue in that.

If you want eye candy, take 6 from Battlestar Galactica.

Easily - first give up your presumption that Bush is (damn) stupid.
Folks have bene nattering on about that for years, all the while wondering
how they can continue losing to the chap.
