| I had the opportunity recently to swim/snorkel with whale sharks and manta rays. The tours are run from Isla Holbox (northeast area of Yucatan). It is amazing to see a 35' animal skimming the surface with its mouth open gathering food. It was a great experience. One site that can provide more info is www.islaholbox.com Ron Lee |

I saw one near the beach in Cancun in January a couple of years ago but I wasn't in the water with it. And the market's kinda limited as well. JF "What embitters the world is not excess of criticism, but an absence of self-criticism." - G.K.Chesterton |

I forget since it was not the best part of the trip. Check the link I gave on the season. It may be until September/October. Here is another link: http://www.holboxisland.com/ Ron Lee |
