Default Snorkeling with whale sharks

I had the opportunity recently to swim/snorkel with whale sharks and
manta rays. The tours are run from Isla Holbox (northeast area of
Yucatan). It is amazing to see a 35' animal skimming the surface with
its mouth open gathering food. It was a great experience.

i have a 300 lb wife that does that with her soup

Nice. How long does it take to get to Holbox from Cancun and what's
the Whale Shark season there? I saw one near the beach in Cancun in
January a couple of years ago but I wasn't in the water with it.

I've seen whale sharks, but never saw one snorkeling. Mebbe
they're DIR....

..Or just hyper allergic? All that pvc and silicone ya know. I suppose
cost could be an issue too. Imagine how much material it would take
for that sized mouthpiece. And the market's kinda limited as well.

From the Cancun bus station it was about three hours. Might have been
3.5. I forget since it was not the best part of the trip. Check the
link I gave on the season. It may be until September/October.
