Default Marine Corps Dollar

The US Mint released USMC proof and uncirculated 2005 silver dollars in
August. You can buy one or many while supply lasts. It would be a nice
gift for Doug when he visits or you could put it away until we hold the Mike
Black reunion dive.

If you buy now you will get a price break. Wait till the price goes up and
it will be a nicer present because it cost more. You can even take the coin
diving. It's 90% silver and you will need less weight when you carry the $.
It's environment friendly because of the high silver content. Exchange them
with your friends under water. See if you can tell the proofs from the
uncirculated without a light.

After the dive carefully examine the coin before paying for a stiff drink.
Yes, they are legal tender. Notice the eagle, globe, and anchor. That's
the Marine Corps symbol. You'd be a damn fool to spend it, but hey, you
read this far didn't you?

Not only that, if the Hunt Brothers start buying silver again, you can sell
the metal for a nice profit. It's as sure as this message hitting the
server. The USMC Dollar - It's almost like being a Marine. Almost.

Does this mean it's only worth 75 cents until they reinstitute the
draft to save the Marine's ass ?

No, sorry, the Marine Corps dollar is always worth $1. The 75 cents you
refer to is a quarter for each of the three other branches of service.
