Some people can be polite and lie. I like to tell the truth. The sharks were blurry, there's no indication you were using a strobe, the seafan was dead centered and likewise blurry. Technically, they're awful. Compositionally, they're awful. If that's considered the best handful of the hundreds of shots you took at the Great Barrier Reef after photoshop-enhancement and cropping, then you might want to sell the camera setup on eBay and get something out of it. |

It shows a photographer concentrating hard on something on the black coral ledges at what appears to be Cousins Rock in the Galapagos. I guess you want us to think he's oblivious to the sea lion above him. Not surprising. Unless he has eyes in the top of his head, it would be pretty hard to see that seal from where he is. They don't make any noise underwater, so there's no reason for him to look up, especially if he's hunting in the black coral for the seahorses that hang out there. At the same time, for all I know, he already has a dozen shots of the sea lion, or he's about to. All this shows is what happened during the 1/60th of a second when the shutter was open on this camera, and nothing about what happened before or after. |

Ya mean like this? http://users.adelphia.net/~gmossman/...g_Seahorse.htm It ain't the best shot, but that camera setup really sucked. I love my D200. Shot some nice wide-angle today. > At the same > time, for all I know, he already has a dozen shots of the sea lion, or > he's about to. All this shows is what happened during the 1/60th of a > second when the shutter was open on this camera, and nothing about > what happened before or after. It also might have something to do with the fact that Southern California is one of the best spots to see sea lions, so why waste time shooting them in the Galapagos when I can concentrate on the stuff unique to that area? Here's one with too much backscatter: http://users.adelphia.net/~gmossman/...g_Sea_Lion.htm I wish I could bring the D200 and housing on my trip in August, but I promised myself I'm shooting video the next time. Thanks to a luggage embargo, we're limited to 2 bags each and there's no way to bring video and camera housings, scuba gear, and clothes for two weeks with such a strict limit. |
