Good news about Carol. Love those success stories.

Something that you'll appreciate - I might get to play around in a
race car at Mosport soon. Met a guy who has the car and has some test
time booked. After we'd talked for a bit about the car he asked me if
I'd like to come out to play.

Nice track. It's gone down a little in the last few years, but the
track itself is still very nice. Smooth (okay, smoother),
challenging, even has more than one overtaking opportunity, assuming
that you're not talking about F1.

I haven't driven on it in over 35 years. It may well have changed. I
doubt anyone would trust me with an F1 car. Hell, I'm not sure I'd
trust me with one. I'd feel safer on a GP bike than one of those
techno-nightmares - they're squirrely. I saw a Speed channel special
with Robbie Gordon (I think, or the other Gordon) driving an F1 car.
It was twitchy, like playing a video game, with real barriers.

Dunno what I'll get. I just got an email saying it will be either a
Ferrari or a Maserati - who cares? Apparently there's at least one F40
but I can only hope. Hopefully they have Nomex to fit this portly
frame. Apparently it's a requirement. If I go on a different day it's
all the well known sedan racing marques, but I really, really wanna
drive a Ferrari, or second choice is a Caterham Hayabusa, although
they haven't said they have any of those available. The straightline
shifter is crazy. I've been watching videos on You-Tube. 8)

Jeff Gordon and JPM? The Trading Paint special they did for the USGP
a few years ago? Every driver I've ever heard who's driven one has
had the same comment on their first drive. The accelleration is
incredible, but it's the brakes.

Two F40s, although they are probably getting a bit long in the tooth
by now. Most of the arrive-n-drive programs have firesuits to fit a
wide variety of body shapes. They don't expect us all to be Michael
Schumachers.

I've seen a video of a Radical Hayabusa on the old circuit at the
Nurberring. Incredible.

But if you want incredible
