Default Grumman country

Scary news on the storm. Hope all of you in it's path get outa Dodge
or at least stay safe.

Let us know as soon as possible that you're okay.

Good luck.

I'm back in Texas these days... Relatively safe -- at least from this one...
GWB is in an area pretty damn close to underneath or a couple of miles to
the east of the projected path of Katrina and he doesn't even have any
levees protecting his neighborhood... This one could prove 'interesting'...

Good. I thought you had said you were going back there. Then you'll be
one more set of fingers and toes to keep crossed for the folks who are
in the line of fire. This sounds like a monster. Apparently the
closest thing to it is the one that hit Homestead a few years ago,
Andrew I think.

Does Haliburton have rigs in the Gulf?

Perhaps it will be blamed on the bar association.

Un-fucking-real.

And they wonder why no one but other moonbats takes them seriously, and why
moderate democrats and conservative democrats are running, screaming, into
the night.

Nawh, I sold the house I had over there while I was working on the DoD
contract... Bought another one back in the Houston area a couple of months
ago... Hell, it's less than 5 miles away from my previous house... Sure was
a round about way of only moving 5 miles away... Houston -> New Orleans ->
Houston with a side trip to Cedar Rapids, IA for yet another contract...
Damn, I'm tired of moving around... If the next contract isn't in the
Houston area, I'm definitely going to pack more lightly this next time (i.e
leave the sofa and platform bed)...

I remember what Biloxi looked like after Camille... It was a Cat5 also...
The NHC says that Katrina is as strong as Camille, but *larger*... Looks
like it's going to be striking New Orleans during the daytime... Sure would
be interesting to have some well protected webcams filming what happens
around the city so that they could better prepare for the next one... The
thing is, they've known about the lack of preparation for a major storm for
a long time... They think they're ready for a fast moving Cat3 storm, but a
slow moving one could likely exceed the pumping capacity of the city... With
a Cat5 one, they're in deep shit... One good thing about it though -- the
Quarter might finally be flushed clean... <sick-grin>

One of our previous co-workers from over there was going to be coming over
here for the evacuation... She couldn't make it bast Baton Rouge, they
routed traffic from I-10 eastbound to I-12 westbound and she evacuated to
Missouri instead...
