Proposal to Gov: close all SoFla ocean outfalls

Email Gov Crist and tell him that (1) wasting 400 million gallons a day
(not 300 as reported) is insane in the face of drying aquifers and salt
water intrusion into over-used aquifers; (2) all the rest of the world
has recognized that dumping sewage into the ocean damages reefs,
beaches, and fisheries and all the rest of the world has invested in the
infrastructure necessary to recycle waste water, the notable exceptions
being Haiti and Florida; (3) these ocean outfalls are operating in
violation of the federal Clean Water Act - come into compliance now, or
wait until the costs are even higher.
