Police and soldiers move house to house, attempting to clear out as many as
10,000 stragglers. Authorities also find fewer bodies than initially feared.

Yeah, I figured that Nagin was inflating the figures... Typical Louisiana
Democrat tactic to attempt to get more handouts...

Everything.

Now the mayor and the governor want to throw some weight around.

You know, make sure no one else dies.

"To reduce the risk of violent confrontation, the police began confiscating
firearms on Thursday, even those legally owned."

A liberal socialist democrat dream is unfolding. A natural disaster during a
republican administration, and now cops confiscating legally owned firearms.

This is going to be going through the courts for decades.

Too bad the holdouts whose 2nd Amendment rights are being violated are not
resisting with force... Perhaps they didn't stockpile enough ammo? Damn, we
need to do some relief airlifts of ammo to those folks...

One has to wonder if the government is willing to be legally responsible for
any looting that occurs to a person's property after the person is
forcefully removed... I say that we should leave 'em alone... If they run
out of food and water, let 'em evacuate as they see fit, but if they think
that they can survive, let 'em... Hell, just because you don't have city
supplied water, sewer, and electricity, it doesn't mean that you are not
able to survive... Some people might have actually had disaster plans that
they *followed* (unlike Nagin and Blanko)...

I'm sure the dems will be along to decry this attack on civil libeties any
minute...

Yeah, but then the liberals will be left with a shattered image of their
chosen form of all humans being hlepless, unless aided by the gubmint.

They hate nothing more than people who can take care of themselves, because
it makes them look in the mirror and see the fact they sure cant.

Nagin and Blanko are simply jokes that arent funny.

Democrat or Republican is secondary to their simple malphesance of office
and absolute lack of leadership ability.

But, since they want to try, like good little democrats, to blame it all on
Bush, the repercussions will be theirs to enjoy.

Now here is some good news:

I guess they forget that when you take up arms against your countrymen, you
are no longer a citizen.

I think they should just put him out in the yard.

I love this line ....
"To reduce the risk of violent confrontation, the police began
confiscating firearms on Thursday, even those legally owned."
