| "A bloodthirsty seal has made its wrath felt in the normally calm waters of Aquatic Park, forcing officials to shut down the popular swimming destination near Fisherman's Wharf until the attacker is found. "What swimmers say is a baby seal began its campaign Monday, biting five swimmers and drawing blood from three of its victims. The seal resurfaced Wednesday, attacking nine more swimmers, according to Lou Marcelli of the Dolphin Swimming Club." http://www.examiner.com/a-402018~Sea...atic_Park.html Where there's one, there's bound to be more than one. Watch your back. That's in the States, right? If figures. Such a blood thirsty culture, even your seals are turning on you. |

It's in California, where the laws effectively prohibit self defense and the people believe there's no need to defend themselves. It's another case of violence in a gun free zone. Lee |

Watch your back. If it's vengeance he's after the stupid seal needs to learn the difference between Canucks and 'Merkins I know where there are some seal hunters for hire who could fix the problem though. All they need is an ice flow. Do ya suppose there's any potential here for a tv show about some obnoxious loudmouthed dude with a mullet and tattoos who chases down errant seals for the public's entertainment. Call him Ookpik the Bounty Hunter Meantime I'll start lugging my hakapik along when I go fishing, or into the shower, just in case. As you've pointed out, where there's one, there's bound to be more. Man. I sure hope this isn't just the thin edge of the wedge, that the catves, piglets, and lambs aren't gonna turn on us next. JF |

Depends how far away they are. The 9 has a little more reach but the wedge gives a little extra lift. If you hit down on 'em just right you can actually spin the little suckers right back so you don't have to chase 'em so far. JF |

You need to try Groundhog Golfing, the latest sport in the American midwest. Whatever poor innocent little groundhogs that survive the onslaught of the great white groundhog hunters are now up for grabs for smacking with your golf clubs. Ain't American great? I am the NRA.
