Default Diving Anxiety no more, but now Sinus infection..and a fear of lion fish :)

Thanks to all who lent advice on my diving nervousness-the trip was amazing! Unfortunatally, i got a very bad sinus infection the last few days of the trip, and missed my final dives( Six feet under, and it felt like someone was shoving my dive knife into my forehead). Does anyone have an advice when preping for future dives as to how i can avoid the problem before it starts, or any on site solutions?
PS- anyone else recently diving in the bahamas or surrounding areas notice the great increase in lion fish? I did three dives and saw upwards of 15....

TAke a Sudafed PE when you get up on a dive day. It may be mating
season, good thing you didn't look like a lioness fish

and hope it doesn't wear off or become less effective when diving. Reverse
squeezes are awful. Another problem with Sudafed is that it dries out the
sinuses and tends to exacerbate the problem and can cause a rebound
congestion if taken for more than a couple of days

You lucky bastard seeing all those lion fish, they are beautiful. I assume
what you call lion fish are either the same of closely related to the ones
we get on the GBR ( I have seems them as far South as Hawks Nest N of
Newcastle ) http://www.amonline.net.au/FISHES/fi.../pvolitans.htm.
Definitely no touchy though

Yup, those are the Lion Fish...They are pretty, but not so great when you are watching 15 of your friends learning to dive, and one of them almost smack into one....Same goes for fast river currents when they float in the current.
If you want to see them, contact small hope bay lodge and go diving off andros, you're bound to see a few.

OK I know it only wikipedia but supposedly they are not native to the
Caribbean or the Eastern Atlantic but may have got there by the home
aquarium trade
