| -- An American friend of mine - living in Canada - says that in the US, greed is acceptable but envy is a sin. In Canada it is just the opposite. I would suggest that envy is our national sport. And no one inspires more envy in us than our southern neighbor. It is a shame, because any legitimate gripes we may have about America get lost in a sea of childish wolf-crying. | "Douglas W. "Popeye" Frederick" <Buzcutt454@aol.com> wrote in message news:11kshenpsjemn7e@news.supernews.com... Hey, there you are. So how is Iraq? What's winter like there? You spending your days passing out copies of the new Constitution in Sunni neighborhoods? I mean, since you so believe in this, that's what I see you doing. Oh, and did you hear about that whole shrub "teleconferencing with the troops debacle?" LOL Now that Rove (does that man look like Porkey Pig, or is it just me?) is too busy fending off a possible perjury and obstruction of justice indictment to remind shrub to breath, the rest of America is finally starting to see the smoke and mirrors. I'd laugh but it ain't funny anymore. My only solace is to take revenge on folks lie you. |

I'd laugh but it ain't funny > anymore. My only solace is to take revenge on folks lie you. You are funny. If you had a brain of your own, and had a clue what to do with it, no one would know it. ***************** From Boortz: "Did we hear the same cries of outrage when Bill Clinton staged a photo op? How about this one, for instance. In June of 1994, President Bill Clinton was attending the 50th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. While walking down the beach, pretending there were no cameras around, Saturday Night Bill came upon some stones. He knelt down and placed the stones in a shape of a cross and looked all sad and stuff. But guess what? The rocks were put there by an advance man, and the whole entire thing was staged. Every bit of it. Just like every other presidential photo opportunity. Once again per the media template, it was okay when a Democratic president did it, but not when a Republican did it. The media jumping all over Bush's case about this is about as shameless as it gets when it comes to their relentless bashing. More selective outrage from the left." BUSH'S POLL NUMBERS We've seen the headline over and over that George Bush's poll numbers are now lower than they've ever been. By these reports, you would think such low poll numbers were unprecedented. Bush, who once enjoyed high poll numbers, has hit rock bottom of late. Blame for Katrina, Iraq, gas prices and on and on. An average of his approval rating among various polls is about 40%. Low? Yes. Unprecedented? Hardly. Let's look at the lowest approval rating of previous presidents: Bush Sr. 29% LBJ 35% Clinton 37% Reagan 35% Nixon 24% Ford 37% Carter 28% ************************** From Ollie: http://www.townhall.com/opinion/colu...14/171282.html "Then six weeks after the bombing, Freeh reports that evidence was gathered that "showed almost beyond a doubt that the Khobar Tower attacks had been sanctioned, funded and directed by senior officials of the government of Iran." The evidence was taken to Clinton's national security advisor Sandy Berger, and upon reviewing it asked Freeh, "Who knows about this?" Instead of acting upon what had been learned, Freeh says, Berger devised a plan to prevent the evidence from leaking out." ************************** http://realclearpolitics.com/Comment..._13_05_RC.html ************************** |

BTW, review these http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stori...articles.docs/ Article 1 - perjury before the grand jury Article 2 - perjury in the Paula Jones case Article 3 - obstruction of justice Have a different opinion on that now, than from July 2001? > finally starting to see the smoke and mirrors. I don't believe that jaywalking is a very serious crime, but if a jaywalker caused an oncoming truck to swerve and take out 20 people on the sidewalk, I'd want to prosecute the jaywalker to the fullest extent of the law. Likewise, perjury and obstruction of "justice" are meaningless when the subject matter is a blowjob, but should be prosecuted when they impact on national security. Lying about a blowjob is far less serious than lying about outing a secret agent of the CIA to get revenge against a whistleblower for showing the American public the truth: that Bush completely fabricated the idea of WMD in Iraq in order to garner support for a completely unnecessary war that's so far cost the lives of 1,976 American troops and $300 billion American dollars. If you can't tell the difference between a $3 blowjob and a $300,000,000,000 dollar war, there's obviously no help for you. |
