They don't, but in political/public life, it's usually the cover-up that gets you in trouble, not the "crime." Full disclosure is just smart politics and public relations. If you're evasive, people assume you're hiding something. They probably should have, but I don't see where they had to. No excuses for it happening though. As Ted Nugent would say, "There are no accidental discharges, only negligent discharges." |
