The last surviving cast member of the Johnny Weismuller Tarzan movies
turned 74 yesterday.

Weismuller was amazing. He always swam with his head out of the water (like
in the movies) and he still set an olympic record that lasted for 47 years
(in the 50 freestyle). Today, it's not uncommon for that record to be
broken a couple of times during the games.

I grew up watching those movies. I marveled how the natives never jumped
into a river with crocs! Instead, they enjoyed watching Tarzan fight
with them. I wonder if they ever had any side bets going.
