| >It's a real pain the rear to have power (generator), but be unable to get >out of the house and have no TV to keep you occupied until you can. >From the chaos I saw all the way from N.Florida you were better off home and boored. It was all heading north a day AFTER the storm. Gridlock for miles before each plaza as 1 stopped lane turned to 4 without enough troopers to matter beyond the entry ramps. They should make generators at all fuel stations mandatory. Most of the chaos was fuel scare. There was plenty, they just couldn't pump it. Davie certainly has changed a bit since the days when we would ride at night when it was cooler, often tieing up at the Royal Castle. I suspect the grid being up as it was may have had something to do with Nova. |

Absolutely. >Government should not >legislate how the business chooses to do business. If it was all that >good of an idea, every retail gas outlet would be rushing to install >generators. Nothings perfect. But, in a society that regulates every aspect of business from building to parking lot water runoff and everything in between, forever , through yearly permits and taxing, its rediculous and civily irresponsible to allow them to create a situation that gridlocks all intersections for miles, effecting millions of people, when there is an option.. ?The fact that many haven't should tell you something. It tells me theres room for improvement. |
