The mom sounds classy. Has she been cashing the support checks for the last
11 years?

I hope he gets a lawyer with fangs and guts them.

He's already made at least one smart move by not accepting the $2000 offered
by the California agency. It didn't say if he had cashed the check from
Texas or not. I'd guess probably not. I wouldn't.

Like the dad said, they had no problem finding him and collecting money
for his daughter who was deceased. The system not only sucks there, but
here in NY also.

I hope he nails them all to the wall, starting with Family Court in both
states and his dopey ex-girlfriend.

The money went somewhere. And I am sure that he is owed a LOT more.

The cool thing is, since the state intervened, they're probably responsible
for principal and interest even if the wife can't cough up the dough.

I'd like to point out that there is still the possibility that the wife
didn't receive the money.

Since the government was involved, it might very well be a case of
"don't attibute to malice what can adequately be described by
incompetence"...

Yes, but as a twice divorced man, I prefer to think the worst of her.

Actually, the point was that the guy is likely to get his money back plus
interest because the state forced him to pay it to them. Whether the wife
got it, or if she did, has it, the state is still on the hook.
